Raise Your Vibration

TGIF! It’s Friday and that is normally a good vibration day! Through our experiences, perception, and expectations Friday is a high vibrational day. We expect to relax on the weekend. We look forward to getting off work. We have memories of fun weekends which start with Friday. These thoughts, feelings, and memories are what raise our vibration up. When we raise our vibration, we feel better, we see things differently, we become more optimistic. I love the book “Every Day A Friday” by Joel Osteen for it talks about living each day with the same outlook as we do a Friday. Life is really all about our outlook and perception – both of which are completely within our control.

In my last post I took a walk on the dark side. Acknowledging the darkness in the world would lower my vibration, you would think, but after bringing acceptance to the truth I feel lighter. It took time for me to reach acceptance as the silence of disbelief made me remember my first post “Out of the Shadows, Into the Light.” It is the silence that can keep the darkness hidden and allow it to grow. Once we bring the dark secrets to light we can process them and choose to live differently. We need to be honest with one another. We need to talk about the truth as we know it. Together we build a better world when we collectively acknowledge past wrongs as not acceptable. When we collectively raise our vibration, we help the whole world raise its vibration.

So, what kind of vibration am I talking about? I am talking about the vibrational energy we send out with our thoughts, feelings, and words. I know everyone has experienced the feeling of love when holding a baby, a puppy, or a kitten. That feeling emitted vibrational energy. I have been so mad before as to see red, scream and yell. That was a completely different vibrational energy being sent. This has been studied with many resources and charts available depicting the vibration level attributed to thoughts, feelings, and words. Here are two different ones:

As shown by these charts, positive thoughts, feelings, and words raise your vibration leading to more positive energy. Negative thoughts, feelings, and words lower your vibration leading to more negative energy. One of the biggest changes we can make in our lives is to look at our own belief systems and judgements to see where we are holding ourselves back from raising our vibration. We hold on to beliefs that we formed somewhere in our lifetime that keep us from reaching our full potential. Do any of these comments sound familiar?

“I am not good enough …”

“I am not smart enough …”

“I am not good-looking enough …”

One hidden belief I had that I recently uncovered was it was bad to be rich. One of my goals in life was to be wealthy but each time I looked at this I would also tell myself not too wealthy because that was wrong. I believed it was bad to have so much when others do not, even though part of my desire to have wealth was to be able to create and fund changes I would like to see in the world. It wasn’t until recently when I was taking a free mini-class by Harv Eker that I realized money had nothing to do with being good or bad. There are rich people who are good and rich people who are bad. There are poor people who are good and poor people who are bad. There are people in the middle who are good and people in the middle who are bad. Money is simply another energy source or a tool in the world which we can use for good or we can use for bad. If we put judgement on people with or without money that is our own judgement, but the money has nothing to do with it.

Wow! That was an eye opener for me. Judgement is such a huge issue for humanity. We judge on money, race, religion, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, zip code, style of dress and the list goes on. Judgement falls below the 200 mark on the vibrational energy scale. I am working on eliminating judgement from my life and I encourage everyone else to do the same. None of us know what storm another has endured to bring them to this moment in time. Here are few good movies that illustrate this with a positive vibration: The Shack; I Can Only Imagine; A Wrinkle In Time.

One last idea I want to leave you with is you absorb the energy of those around you. You can choose to be around people who have positive high vibrational energy. If you don’t have anyone like that to be around then listen to their podcasts, read their books, or watch their videos or shows.
